Hello reader. I’m Nnamdi. Pronounced (Viet)Nam-D. It’s Nigerian, I’m Nigerian, but also a born and bred New Yorker. I enjoy watching people struggle with shame and frustration as they attempt to say my name. {Laughs maniacally}
You're probably already tired of reading, you busy person you, so I'm going to list some irrelevant accomplishments in the form of anecdotes.
I was the captain of my high school fencing (Sabre) team for 4 years. Was the best they've ever seen they said (they never said that).
I taught myself enough of the piano to play any pop song with an intense clumsiness.
I used to practice Kung Fu (true story). I box now, more straightforward.
I have three little sisters that have brainwashed me to be more sensitive to people and more understanding of Beyonce.
I ran into Matt Smith at Sky Bar and partied with him and his friends before I ruined it and they left.
I did a choreographed dance to Wild Wild West on public access television when I was 8. Was the best they've ever seen they said (they never said that).
Still here? Allow me a serious minute. I’m primarily a storyteller. Anything I call myself after that, copywriter, creative, editor, is a medium for storytelling. Everything, from person to concept, has a beginning, middle, and end, and we humans are obsessed with that journey. Brands have stories. Voices have stories. I want to tell them.
